7 Health Threat

BASED study found that the greatest threat to women's health can actually be prevented. In chapter take care yourself, no one else is more qualified to take on this responsibility.

Many may not be aware, health care became the most valuable assets in our life is a trust because it allows us to carry out everyday tasks including work, managing the household and worships better.
There is no doubt, women are more sensitive in health care. But it needs to be improved because of the duties and responsibilities of women are bigger and challenging.

Based on statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are seven major threat to women's health. Let us all learn how to reduce the risk of this threat.


1. Heart disease - heart attacks not only man's disease although women rarely heard by the disease. Before menopause, women's hormones protect against heart attack, but after menopause, the risk of developing the disease as men.

So take precautions from now so that we are not included in the statistics of who have a heart attack. Some of that can be done are:

Stop smoking if you smoke. There are many current methods that can help you quit. Go to any smoking cessation clinic or ask your doctor refer you to a specialist who is always ready to help you quit smoking.

Eat a healthy diet - Fill up on vegetables, fruits, cut foods high in fat, sugar and salt.

Control your disease well especially high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.

Exercise - This is very important. Exercise at least 20 to 30 minutes a day, four or five times a week. If it can be done every day, the better the effect.

Maintain a healthy weight. Weight gain will increase the risk of heart disease.

Limit alcohol intake, too much alcohol will increase blood pressure, it would be better if it stopped directly.

Tackle stress. Take the time to learn methods to manage stress in a healthy and happy one.


2. Cancer - Although generally the exact cause of cancer is unknown, but there are various ways that can be taken to reduce the risk.

Do not smoke. Smoking is a major factor in bringing you with cancer. At the same time, try to avoid becoming secondary smokers (not smoking but frequently exposed to second-hand smoke).

Regular exercise. Choose exercises that you enjoy. It not only can be mind therapy even able to control their weight. Some experts say the weight loss, reduce the risk of cancer.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

Protect skin from the blazing sun.

Lactation. Breastfeeding can help reduce the risk of breast cancer.

3. Stroke - Some stroke risk factors can not be controlled such as family history, age and ethnicity. But other factors can be controlled for example:

Control your disease. If you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, take the medicine on schedule. If you have diabetes, keep blood sugar within the normal range.

Do not smoke. If you smoke, try to quit.

Adopt a healthy lifestyle by having a balanced and most importantly - exercise regularly.

Learn the early signs of a stroke and share this information with family members and good friends. Ask family members and friends quickly take you to the hospital if you show signs of a stroke.


4. Under chronic respiratory disease - in other words, there is a problem with your lungs. This includes the bronchitis and emphysema. So, take steps to protect the health of lungs:

No smoking

Avoid a lot of pollution (chemical and air)

Prevent respiratory tract infection with the simplest method - wash hands well.


5. Alzheimer's Disease - While there are no specific rules to prevent it, but experts agree the risk can be reduced through:

Control your disease. Diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, heart disease, stroke and diabetes can increase the risk of said Alzheimer's.

Do not smoke. Some studies have found no association between Alzheimer's disease with smoking.

Exercise, no matter what form of exercise too, all can benefit.

Keep your mental and social health by participating in community activities, reading, doing things that challenge your mind, learn new things.

6. Accident - Traffic accidents are also listed as a major threat to women's health. Follow the rules and laws of the road and always be careful when on the road, whether you're driving or using public transport.


7. Diabetes - This disease is very common in our country. To prevent diabetes, adopt a healthy lifestyle with her diet and regular exercise, especially for those who have a family history of this disease.

If you already have diabetes, take proactive measures so that your sugar levels are in the healthy range because of uncontrolled diabetes are nerve damage especially on the feet and eyes. Additionally, it also increases the risk of heart disease and kidney failure.
